About the Editors
Welcome to LDSNews.org. We aim to be your trusted source for news coverage related to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS), also known as the Mormon Church. Our mission is clear: to provide our readers with accurate and impartial reporting and analysis rooted in journalistic integrity, while maintaining a stance that is neither pro-Mormon nor anti-Mormon.
We do this by enlisting the help of both faithful LDS people and non-LDS people with deep knowledge about the Church’s Doctrine & Beliefs and also about the secular/cultural issues surrounding the Church.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has a wide influence on the world and plays a role in many non-LDS lives as well. We hope to touch on those issues that touch both LDS and non-LDS people around the World.
We also believe that as humans, we all have biases that blind us from pure objectivity, and we do not pretend that it is possible to write purely-objective articles.
For this reason, we invite voices from within and outside the LDS Church to submit your own perspective to us through our editorial and op-ed process.
Mission
Our mission is to provide insights and information touching on the many spiritual, cultural, political and financial impacts the Mormon Church and its Doctrine has had on society. We examine these impacts on a local level (Utah), a national level, and a global level.
Perhaps more important than the information and viewpoints we deliver, our main goal is to create more understanding between faithful LDS and non-LDS people and a calm place to see differing viewpoints.
